ADVENTUROUS TRIP.
Drilled by the daily
routine I face,
Planned to go for a
pleasant chase,
I gathered my fishing rod
and a case,
Went with friends to a
watery place.
Excited and happy I might
have been,
But unknown fear hid
within,
What if I fell in the
currents therein?
Thoughts like, what if
crocodiles waited for me, brought a grin.
Without showing my fear,
boldly I went,
With a fishing rod, which
was slightly bent,
A cold shivery night with
winds blew within our tent,
Making my adventure a bit
tense, I meant.
Early next morning, went
in deep water,
Enjoyed sun rising and
calm fish in order,
Caught fish in abundance
and grew thrilled,
Encouraged by luck, I
planned to move ahead.
Suddenly fishing rod got
struck,
As though some demon fish
had it suck,
I cried for help from my
friends who were busy behind a duck,
None could hear me, so I
decided myself to pluck.
As I bent, I saw something
moving briskly,
Unable to recognize, I
moved towards it swiftly,
I got the shock of my life
when I saw a crocodile looking at me fiercely,
A fearful scream came out
of me unknowingly, and I started battling for life immediately.
I wanted to rush back to
my tent ultimately,
But everything blackened
out in front of my eyes desperately,
I started thinking about why
I came here unnecessarily,
I started rowing my boat
madly.
But could not see the bank
seriously,
Eyes filled with tears and
face filled with fear simply,
I started pleading
intensively.
I wanted to reach my tent
early.
I promised myself never to
wish for a change,
Never to be ungrateful for
things not strange,
First time realized that
importance of life unchanged,
Swore to thank God for
everything He had arranged.
Reached bank breathlessly,
I ran to the tent safely,
Bent down my head on the
ground gratefully,
And grasped how trivial we
are before nature ultimately.
